DropThe is an independent publication covering artificial intelligence, compute infrastructure, AI economics, and their intersection with society. We exist because AI coverage deserves better sourcing.

Every claim we publish is linked to a primary source. Every number is cited. When we are uncertain, we say so. When information comes from a single source and cannot be independently verified, we label it accordingly.

What we cover

Our coverage spans six verticals: AI (what is actually changing), Compute (the physical infrastructure powering AI), Models (benchmarks, evaluation, and open source), Money (economics, funding, and jobs), Society (policy, ethics, and trust), and Creative AI (music, video, and entertainment).

How we work

We publish two formats: long-form articles with deep analysis and sourcing, and briefs for fast-moving developments. Each brief includes a confidence level and a direct link to the primary source.

We use AI tools in our reporting workflow and disclose this on our editorial standards page. We do not use AI to fabricate quotes, invent sources, or generate content without human review.
